When it comes down to your kids, you want to make sure they adopt a healthy lifestyle that they can pass on to their own children, right?
Well, there are 2 very important things that you should be doing if you want your kids to develop healthy habits that will stick with them for life.
Get your kids in the kitchen!
Getting your kids in the kitchen from an early age is essential if you want them to learn how to cook healthy food and for them to enjoy cooking as well.
You can even make it into family time, where you all get together and have fun cooking a delicious meal. You can stick some music on, give everyone a role to take charge of in the recipe and have fun with it!
Even when your kids are very young, seeing you cooking is very important and will show them from an early age what eating healthy is all about.
My daughter jumps at the chance to help me out in the kitchen these days, it makes me so proud and I love the time we spend together while cooking.
Let them see you working out
Exercise is just as important as eating well, the two go hand in hand when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. That is why it is so important that your children see you exercising regularly.
Just like with the cooking, if they watch you doing something from an early age they are going to want to copy you and get involved.
I personally don’t go to a gym, I do my workouts at home for 3 reasons
- It’s free
- It’s more convenient
- My kids get to see me keeping fit
So don’t waste money on a gym membership, start working out with the whole family at home and then you can all get in the kitchen afterwards and cook up something delicious and healthy!
