Healthy eating is only part of making sure your kids grow up fit and healthy, exercise plays a huge role in the fitness and well being in all of us.
Getting your kids involved with exercise is a really fun thing that you can do as a family and it will set the foundations for them to continue exercising and staying fit when they get older.
You don’t even need to go out of your way to get them involved in your workouts either, because if they see you working out at home from an early age they will want to know what mummy and daddy are up to and want to join in themselves anyway.
Getting kids exercising is now more important than ever too, as im sure you are well aware most of them just want to be sat in front of a screen or playing on their phone these days. Which is fine in moderation, but makes it all the more important to ensure they are getting active and staying healthy as well.
I wouldn’t suggest taking your toddler to the gym with you though (can you imagine what kind of mayhem they would cause there!). Working out at home is a great way to get them started and there are so many different workouts that you can do at home with minimal equipment. Or if you already have a gym set up at home even better.
They do say that having a workout buddy is a great way to stay motivated and keep up with your fitness goals, well what better workout buddy than your family hey?
